I have a little confession, this is actually the Little Loves post I started last week and then never got round to finishing. I’ve really missed joining in so must do better in the future!
Usually I’m quite productive during the summer holidays but this year I’m enjoying just chilling out and taking each day as it comes. I guess that’s largely due to having a new baby in the house and partly down to being fully aware that we are on the final countdown to O starting school. On one hand I’m loving everything being so relaxed but a little part of me is quite looking forward to finding a bit of a routine again.
I’ve been reading up on all things Bullet Journal this week after my new Leuchtturm1917 notebook arrived on Wednesday. After spending a couple of days too afraid to write in it for fear of messing it up, I decided in the end to just go for it and I love it already. There are some great posts about Bullet Journals from The Reading Residence, Taming Twins and Hayley From Home. I love seeing how other people use theirs, plus I am just nosey!
I don’t know about you but I am really missing the Olympics, I was glued to it for the full two weeks. My husband has got me watching Narcos as the new season is out next month and I am really enjoying it. We also started watching Stranger Things but that has taken a back seat whilst I finish Narcos
I’ve made a few new purchases over the past week as I am getting a little tired of wearing the same things over and over. I treated myself to this gorgeous dress from Zara which I love. I saw a woman wearing this a few weeks ago when we were out and it looked fab, I was so chuffed when I realised where it was from.
My running trainers! One of the reasons I’m a little late with my post this week is that I have been out this morning for my first bit of exercise since have G. It’s a beautiful morning, so I set my old iPod to loud and dragged myself round my old jogging loop round the village. It felt good to have a bit of time away to myself and to be active again. I just need my face to calm down, it’s still bright red!
One of my all-time favourite summer tunes came on the radio this week as I was driving around in the sunshine. It’s one of those songs that you automatically remember all the words too and yes, I did have a sing along!
Tonight me and the husband are out on our first date since G was born. We have managed an hour having a drink in the pub but tonight we are heading into town and having dinner. I can’t even begin to tell you how giddy I am. Bring on the Pornstar Martinis!! (I’ll probably be home for 8:30)
