Halloween

For years we didn’t celebrate Halloween, we were the ones turning the lights off and pretending we weren’t home. It’s only since we moved into our current house five years ago that we’ve started to get into the swing of things. It’s one of the reasons I love living in a small village, there is a real sense of community, which is never more evident than on Halloween. The pumpkin carving is a serious business. The Pumpkin Patch

October is one of my absolutely favourite months.  I love Autumn, and October in particular, as the weather starts to cool and the scarves and hats can start to reappear.  And the absolute highlight of the month is Halloween, which means the search for the perfect pumpkin is on. The Ordinary Moments – My Girls

Before O came along there were already 2 very special little people in our lives.  We were already parents to our lovely Lhasa Apso’s and as they are both female they become known as “the girls”. Mo, the gorgeous blonde, is getting on a bit.  She’ll be 10 in November and gets tired easily.  You will mostly find her chilling out upstairs in her bed in our room, trying to keep out of O’s way I think. Ordinary Moments

I’m not a great dancer, I’m ranking somewhere just below average (apart from after several wines when I think I should be giving up teaching and auditioning for a dancing role on Broadway). However, I didn’t expect my son to cotton onto this fact so early on. We’ve recently discovered his favorite song is Miley Cyrus “we can’t stop” so we spent pre Baby O bedtime dancing to this in the kitchen.
