Some of my favourite childhood memories involve sleeping bags.  My brother and I had matching ones and we had hours of entertainment with them.  Sliding down the stairs in them with our cousins or putting them over our heads to play worms (a game we made up that involved catching people and guessing who it was whilst you couldn’t see as the sleeping bag was on your head!)  As we got older and started to have friends over for sleepovers the sleeping bags would be wheeled out. One of my must have buys with a new baby is a play gym.  As babies gradually start to gain interest in toys a gym in the perfect play to lie them so they can see the bright colours around them.  For me the brighter the better. The Go Jetters wasn’t really a programme I was aware of.  It wasn’t something we watched at home but it turns out that it was a programme that O watched at Nana’s with his cousin, and they were both huge fans.  It was the one show that they wouldn’t bicker over and would both sit down calmly to watch, and sing along with the theme tune to. Mamas & Papas was probably the first baby shop I went into when I found out I was expecting O.  A store had recently opened in The Trafford Centre and I found myself wandering around there excited, and a little overwhelmed, with how much choice there was.  Our first purchases for O were made from there, a beautiful multi-coloured blanket and a couple of teddies, which are now living in G’s room.
